Certificate III in Hairdressing

BENEFIT FROM REAL SALON WORK EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU ENROL IN A HAIRDRESSING CERT III

REAL SALON WORK EXPERIENCE will be provided to all Hairdressing students. By participating in our purpose-built Student Hairdressing Salon for real-life work experience, students will have the amazing opportunity to be trained in all required salon-ready skill areas such as arranging bookings, greeting clients, consulting and providing a wide range of hairdressing services to the public. We are proud to see our graduates develop all of the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively in leading salons or open their own business. Our student to teacher ratio is also purposely kept low, to facilitate effective learning. At ACHDB, students who enroll into Certificate III in Hairdressing will be offered additional Certificate II in Hairdressing training with FREE of charge.

 

Description

The Certificate III in Hairdressing at ACHDB will qualify you to be a hairdresser anywhere in Australia.  In addition to mastering your practical hairdressing skills such as cutting, colouring, styling and treatment services , etc.; our students also build their knowledge and confidence to be competitive in the industry; having worked as part of a salon team and having serviced real guests within our very own Student Hairdressing Salon.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for Certificate III in Hairdressing; however students who have completed a Certificate II in Hairdressing are preferred.

Certificate IV in Hairdressing

Description

This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled senior hairdressers who develop complex technical skills and knowledge working as part of/or coordinating a salon team. It includes senior hairdressers who work as technical advisers with a hairdressing products company; or independently as freelance session stylists.

At this level you may provide specialist services including endless options of creative haircutting, advanced hair design, creative hair colouring and lightening techniques, complex colour correction, hair extensions, chemical reformation, trichology and professional photography makeup application for both Colour and B&W including shoot with a photographer.

Entry Requirements

The Certificate IV in Hairdressing is designed to build on the foundation skills acquired through the completion of the Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent.

Entry to this qualification is open to those who have vocational expertise in the hairdressing industry.

Vocational expertise must include a minimum of 2 of the 3 points below:

  • Experience as an operator in a commercially run salon
  • Provision of cutting, styling and chemical services
  • Establishment of a clientele base
